Can I leave Royal Sydney Oktoberfest and come back in?
Unfortunately not. Due to liquor licensing restrictions there are no pass outs at the Royal Sydney Oktoberfest, so make sure you bring in everything you’ll need for the day.
How do I buy my tickets?
Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, 18 July 2018 at 9am. They can be purchased online through our event site or via our ticketing partner Eventbrite. Once the event is sold out, there will be no more tickets available.
CAN I BUY TICKETS ON THE DOOR AT THE EVENT?
Any unsold tickets will be available through the ticket booth near the main entry to the event. Check back with us to confirm if any tickets are available a few days before the event.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY ID?
Absolutely yes, all guests will be asked to present a legal and approved form of photo identification at the event entry, after which you will be provided with a tamper-proof 18+ wristband. The only acceptable forms of identification are a current Australian driver’s license (international driver’s licenses won’t be accepted), state approved ‘Proof of Age’ card or a valid Passport.
RSO advises NOT to bring any original documents such as your Birth Certificate.
Can I buy drinks other than beer at Royal Sydney Oktoberfest?
Of course, Royal Sydney Oktoberfest caters for all tastes! In addition to beer, we’ll have wine, cider, schnapps, popular spirit mixers and several non-alcoholic alternatives available for purchase.

Are drinks included in the ticket price?
No, drinks are not included in the ticket price, however can be purchased at affordable prices.
Are there gluten free, vegetarian or vegan food options available?
Yes, most food vendors are catering for the above food requirements. Simply ask food vendors on the day and they will assist you with you.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD OR DRINKS WITH ME?
Unless required for medical reasons, BYO food and drinks are strictly prohibited. Security will be checking all bags and containers at the entrance and any alcohol found will be confiscated.
WILL THERE BE ATM’S OR EFTPOS AT THE EVENT?
We do provide ATM facilities on site but they tend to be quite popular, creating long queues! So we recommend that you come prepared with cash in your wallet. There will however, be EFTPOS facilities at most bars with some cash out available.
Can I book a table at the event?
Unfortunately not, tables at Royal Sydney Oktoberfest are on a first come, first served basis, however rest assured that there will be ample seating for most people at the event.
Get in contact with us if you have a large group, as private area requests will be considered on a case by case basis.
I BOUGHT MY TICKETS ONLINE, HOW DO I GET A HARD COPY OF MY RSO TICKETS?
Your individual tickets will be sent to your nominated email address, as a PDF file attached to your booking confirmation email.
These tickets can be opened with Adobe Reader and printed in either black and white or colour. Just make sure that the barcode and all names and dates of birth are visible.
I DIDN’T RECEIVE MY TICKETS VIA EMAIL, WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Log in to your Eventbrite account used for the purchase and select ‘Show My Ticket’ for the relevant event. You then have the option to view the ticket in your browser, download or resend them to an email.
IF I LOSE MY TICKET HOW CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT?
If you bought your ticket via Eventbrite make sure you save or file your email that has the PDF ticket attached so you can re-print your ticket!
If you delete or lose your email that has the PDF ticket attached, all you have to do is log into your Eventbrite account and head to “My Account” where you can reissue your ticket.
CAN I REFUND MY TICKET?
Tickets to RSO are non-refundable. If the event is cancelled a refund will be processed. Don’t worry, you will be contacted with instructions on what to do if this happens.
CAN I GIVE MY TICKET TO A FRIEND IF I CAN’T GO?
Yes, but if you purchased your ticket via Eventbrite you need to change the ticket into your friend’s name which can be done by logging into your account.
CAN I SELL MY RSO TICKETS ON E-BAY OR GUMTREE?
No, absolutely not.
RSO tickets may not be re-sold as a commercial transaction under any circumstance. RMOktoberfest Pty Ltd reserves the right to void any tickets without compensation if the original purchaser has sold them. The new ticket holder may be refused entry or be evicted from the venue. This measure, although extreme, is to combat scalpers.
SHOULD I BUY A RSO TICKET FROM E-BAY OR GUMTREE?
We don’t recommend this.
RSO does not recommend purchasing tickets through any unofficial channels such as e-Bay or Gumtree and cannot guarantee a patron entry into the event with a ticket purchased via one of these channels.
If you purchased your ticket at an independent RSO outlet, it cannot be replaced; you will need to purchase a new ticket from the event box office (unless the event is sold out).
WHAT IF I LOSE A PERSONAL ITEM AT RSO?
The cloak room is the place to go to hand in a lost item you’ve found at the event, or to see if someone has handed in an item lost by you or a friend.
Items not collected at the end of the night will be retained at the event venue by RSO for two (2) days post event then all valuables will be handed over to either the local Police or venue management.
Any non-valuable items (such as clothing) not collected by this time will be will be donated to a local charity organisation.

Does Royal Sydney Oktoberfest offer the Companion Card Program?
Yes, however please note that only 1 companion card will be accepted for entry per paid ticket holder.
Tickets will not be issued for the companion prior to the event and the companion MUST arrive at the event along with the paid ticket holder. The companion must have a valid Companion Card on them along with valid ID to gain entry to the event.
Can i bring my pet?
As much as we love animals, you cannot bring your pet to RSO. Service dogs are an exception. Please get in touch with us via email@example.com if you have any questions or enquiries about this.
